Where is all the oil money going? Is there any liability from the political establishment? The combination of the worst place for living in the world together with deep, institutionalized corruption seems to be related.
Iraq is a very rich country with too many Ali babbas

First of all, who the hell is Mercer? Ah yes it is a PRIVATE American human resource and financial firm based in New York City… Which also translates to a BIG corporation and one of them 1% deals … FYI (readers of this article) Baghdad is by far the largest metropolis (population 9+ million) of all the top 10 cities (from Vienna, Zurich to Sydney and other small cities in between) cited in this biased and prejudice report… Baghdad had survived for almost 1400 years (and Mesopotamia prior to that for about 6500 years) had seen Mongols invasions, floods, famine, wars and other sorts of demise… More recently sustained 8 years of war with Iran from 1980-1988 and 12 years of illegal and dubious UN sanctions from 1991-2003 and last but not least, 10 years of Western (New World Order a.k.a. New Mongols -- skull and bones secret society rites) US invasion, occupation and liberation of Iraq which brought more destruction to Baghdad and destroyed the lives of millions Iraqis from 2003 to 2011… And now we find a stupid report putting Baghdad at the bottom of their imaginary list!!!.... We have news for the chairman and CEO of that Mercer firm (Mr. Julio Portalatin)… Sandy was God’s wrath on you and your people… 10 more Sandy’s or Katrina’s on NYC in the next decades and your beloved city will be ranked at the bottom of the sea!!!

okay, so I lived in Baghdad for a while. It is very expensive to live at a reasonable level. The difference, in the U.S. cities and Baghdad is that when our cities got wrecked.... people woke up the next morning and started cleaning up, instead of whining, bombing, shooting, etc.

The first step to rebuilding Baghdad (which used to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world) is to wake up, pick up a shovel, stop blaming others.... and just clean it up.

Jeremy, the difference between your US cities and Baghdad is the following: your cities are on the receiving end of GOD’s wrath and you are battling with constant natural disasters while Baghdad is surrounded by EVIL countries, WICKED people and GREEDY foreign invaders which are all manmade disasters… These forces hate everything that is Iraq, hate Baghdad, hate all the Arabs and possibly hate themselves as well and most importantly HATE not just Islam but all other religions as well… Please go back and study the true reasons for the war on Iraq and you will discover and find that the same Neo-NAZI and Zionist underground elements that started ALL known wars in the past around the globe are also behind these dishonorable and despicable wars we see today… Who said the Iraqis are not waking up and trying to rebuild their country like all other civilized countries?? The difference between your case and ours is not because (as you suggest) the lazy Iraqi people … You are dealing with a known enemy (namely super nature) while we have to put up with SEVERAL manmade enemies (many of whom are covert) and are backed by plenty of resources (financial, military and intelligence), are also bent on destroying the young Iraqi democracy (which threatens the mere existence of these wicked forces) and know nothing about civility, peaceful co-existence and progress for the exception they spread more of their rudeness, sickness and filthiness by killing more innocent Iraqis...
