Mulla said in a news statement that "he will once again raise the issue of questioning Minister Adeeb at parliament." He accused Suhail of "having stood in the way of the interrogation."
Suhail had earlier announced the issuance of arrest warrants by the judiciary against Mulla for "forging" the signatures of parliament members in the petition to question Adeeb.
Suhail has often been accused of trying to disrupt interrogations sought by the Iraqi parliament, most notably the attempt to question Adeeb in February 2013.
Suhail was born in Basra in 1965. He completed his primary and secondary education there. He received a doctorate in water resources from the University of Baghdad in 1995.
He taught in the geology department at the University of Baghdad and Basra University, as well as at the Marine Science Center. He also oversaw doctoral and master's students at Basra University.
After 2003, he became a member of the Iraqi National Assembly, representing Sadr. He also became a member of the Agriculture and Water Committee in the assembly, and represented the Sadrist movement in the National Political Council for a year and a half before the movement withdrew from it.
He was re-elected as deputy in the previous parliamentary elections, and became a rapporteur of the Agriculture and Water Committee in parliament. He served as second deputy head of the Sadrist political council. He was re-elected as deputy in the latest elections and served as first deputy of the speaker of parliament."
