Lebanese Industry Minister visits Iraq

Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi received in his office on Saturday the Lebanese Industry Minister Mr. Hussein Hajj Hassan and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting they discussed strengthening bilateral relations in the industrial field between the two countries and investment in Iraq and overcoming the obstacles facing Lebanese businessmen.

Dr. Al-Abadi welcomed the guest delegation and stressed the importance of mutual cooperation and exchange of expertise between the two countries for the development of the industrial sector, as the Iraqi government is striving to rehabilitate the industrial sector and welcomes all investments and encourages them, especially from our brothers in Lebanon, due to the presence of common cultural, historical, political and economic ties between the two countries.

Dr. Al-Abadi expressed the government's readiness to provide all possible support for the success of the Lebanese businessmen wishing to work and invest in Iraq.

In turn, the Lebanese Industry Minister thanked the PM for the warm reception, confirming the presence of significant elements to strengthen relations between the two countries and that there is a desire of Lebanese businessmen to engage in industrial activity in Iraq and we hope for joint action and to overcome the obstacles hindering the development of economic relations between the two countries.
