Iraq Oil Ministry Withholds More Data on Oil Exports

By John Lee.

Iraq's Ministry of Oil has announced finalised oil export volumes for May, but has again not disclosed the value of oil exports for the month.

This follows an increasing trend of delayed or missing oil export data from the Ministry. While the statement references the Ministry's "belief in informing the people about export operations", it has also chosen to only give the total volume exported for the month, withholding data on various regions and export routes.

  • Total exports of crude oil: 104,130,292 barrels.
  • Average daily crude oil exports: 3.359 milllion barrels pre day, slightly down on to the 3.413 million bpd in April.

April's export figures can be viewed here.
