Iraq's Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, met with a group of Tunisian business leaders and private sector representatives in Tunis on Wednesday.
During the meeting, Al-Sudani expressed his gratitude to Tunisia's President and Prime Minister for their warm hospitality, highlighting the deep fraternal ties between the two nations. He noted that the discussions built on the outcomes of the Iraq-Tunisia Joint Committee meeting held three months prior, marking a significant step toward enhanced bilateral cooperation.
Al-Sudani emphasized the importance of engaging with the Tunisian private sector, which was a key focus of the day's discussions with the Tunisian government. The talks centered on the business environment and investment opportunities available in both Iraq and Tunisia, with a mutual commitment to joint investment and trade exchange.
He highlighted Iraq's progress in overcoming security challenges and achieving stability, which has enabled the government to prioritize comprehensive economic development. Al-Sudani outlined the Iraqi government's efforts to reform the economy, improve the business environment, and offer opportunities across various sectors, assuring Tunisian businesses of the government's readiness to provide support and facilitate collaboration.
