Iraq's State Company for Oil Projects (SCOP) has laid the foundation stone for the Wasit Oil Authority building, a project aimed at enhancing administrative and organizational performance within the Midland [Middle] Oil Company.

The project spans 6 dunams (approximately 15,000 square meters) and includes a three-story building covering 1,100 square meters, along with a 170-square-meter shelter area. Additional facilities include a reception building, dedicated parking, landscaped gardens, and a reinforced concrete fence surrounding the site.

The event was attended by Eng. Ali Ward Hammoud, General Manager of SCOP; Eng. Mohammed Yaseen, General Manager of Midland Oil Company; and senior officials from both companies, alongside Wasit Energy Committee Chairperson, Mrs. Rusul Ihsan, MP Basem Al-Gharbawi from the Energy Committee, and representatives from Wasit's Provincial Council.
