Iraqi Airways is to launch direct flights between Kirkuk and the Turkish city of Antalya from 14 July, operating twice weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays.
The airline's Director General, Manaf Abdul Moneim, said the new route coincides with the summer holiday season and rising passenger numbers, with the twice-weekly schedule intended to give travellers sufficient opportunity to book seats to one of Turkey's leading Mediterranean tourist destinations.
He added that, in line with the directives of the Minister of Transport, Wahab Salman Mohammed, the airline is working to expand the national carrier's network of destinations and offer more flexible travel options to meet growing demand during the summer season.
