Iraq and Libya discuss Economic Cooperation

Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi has received the envoy of Libya's Government of National Unity, Al-Taher Salem Al-Baour, along with an accompanying delegation.

Al-Baour delivered a letter from Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Mohammed al-Dabaiba, which affirmed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries and expressed an interest in convening the third session of the Iraqi-Libyan Joint Committee.

The letter also included an invitation for al-Zaidi to visit Libya at the earliest opportunity, and called for continued coordination to align positions on international issues affecting the Arab region.

Al-Zaidi said Iraq is committed to building strong foreign relations and that the government attaches importance to economic cooperation and partnership opportunities.
