Review of Iraq Development Management System (IDMS)

A meeting has been held at Iraq's Ministry of Planning to discuss the activation and development of the Iraq Development Management System (IDMS), a digital platform used to monitor and manage investment projects and government programmes.

The meeting, attended by Basim Dari, Director General of the Sector Planning Directorate, and Tahseen Mahmoud Muthanna, Director General of the Government Investment Programmes Directorate, addressed technical obstacles facing the system, including issues with data entry and information flows from ministries, non-ministerial bodies, and governorates.

The IDMS is described as a comprehensive electronic application adopted by the Ministry of Planning to track investment projects and government programmes, with the aim of enhancing transparency, accountability, and the monitoring of technical and financial progress across sectors and governorates.
