Talks on expanding investment between Iraq and Qatar took place at a meeting between National Investment Commission (NIC) chairman Adel Dakhil Muhammad al-Yasiri and Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani, chairman of the Qatari Businessmen Association, held in the presence of Minister of Trade Mustafa Nizar Jumaa and a number of Qatari investors.
Al-Yasiri called on Qatari companies to establish industrial projects in Iraq, citing available development opportunities and Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi's commitment to providing facilities and guarantees for economic partnership.
Al-Yasiri also formally invited Sheikh Faisal to visit Iraq at the head of an investment delegation to review the investment map and proposed strategic projects.
