Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi has attended a German-Iraqi business dialogue forum in Berlin, held under the theme "Economic Bridges for a Common Future", with the participation of German business leaders and representatives of major German companies.
Al-Zaidi presented Iraq's investment map, covering sectors including energy, oil and petrochemical industries, phosphates, clean energy, pharmaceuticals, and automation. He also outlined government plans for financial, tax, and banking reforms aimed at improving the investment environment and supporting economic growth.
Separately, al-Zaidi met German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier as part of his official visit to Berlin. The meeting covered the development of Iraqi-German relations and efforts to expand participation by German companies in development projects in Iraq.
Al-Zaidi stated that Iraq aims to increase crude oil production and exports, raise electricity generation capacity, and accelerate its role as an economic corridor between Asian and European markets through the Development Road project.
