Iraq's Council of Ministers has authorized the Ministry of Finance to sign a loan agreement backed by German and other international export credit agencies.
The funding will support the installation of three 400 kV and five 132 kV substations, as part of Phase II of the energy cooperation framework with Siemens Energy.
The agreement aims to enhance Iraq's power infrastructure and support the government's ongoing efforts to stabilize the national grid.
