The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) is facilitating the export of local agricultural products to international markets as part of its efforts to support farmers and boost domestic production.
Under the initiative, 6,000 tonnes of potatoes will be exported to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) this year.
With fertile soil and a favourable climate, the Kurdistan Region produces a diverse range of agricultural goods, including around 600,000 tonnes of potatoes annually. Known for their quality, Kurdistani potatoes have drawn increasing interest from international food industry brands, according to a KRG press release.
