MoneyHash Partners with Wayl to Enter Iraqi Payments Market

By John Lee.

MoneyHash has announced a partnership with Wayl to support international and regional businesses expanding into Iraq's payments and e-commerce market.

Under the agreement, MoneyHash will extend its payment orchestration services into Iraq by integrating Wayl's local payment infrastructure, enabling merchants to navigate domestic payment requirements and operational frameworks.

Through the partnership, merchants will gain access to:

  • International card schemes including Visa and Mastercard;
  • Local digital wallets such as ZainCash;
  • Bank-based payment options including First Iraqi Bank (FIB).

MoneyHash said the arrangement is designed to address regulatory, operational and consumer payment preferences specific to Iraq, while allowing businesses to manage multiple gateways through a single API with unified reporting and routing tools.

Wayl, a Baghdad-based fintech founded in 2021, operates as a payment aggregator, facilitator and merchant of record. The company provides localised checkout solutions and supports market entry for businesses seeking to establish operations in Iraq.

The companies said the partnership is intended to reduce market entry friction and support scalable digital commerce operations in Iraq and the wider Middle East.
