Chinese Carmaker Expands Baghdad Presence with New Showroom

By John Lee.

SOUEAST has opened its first mall showroom in Baghdad, in a step the company says will strengthen its market presence, dealer network and customer service capabilities in Iraq.

The showroom is located in Iraq Mall, described as the largest integrated commercial complex in Baghdad. Covering nearly 200 square metres, it features a street-facing display area and is currently showing four SOUEAST models: the S06 DM, S07, S08 DM and S09.

The showroom offers a full range of sales services, including:

  • Product consultation
  • Financing solutions
  • Test drives

The company said the showroom will also host customer engagement activities such as fan events, product roadshows, seasonal campaigns and customer salons, with the aim of gathering feedback and improving the ownership and purchasing experience.

New flagship stores are planned for New Erbil, Najaf and Duhok.

SOUEAST entered the Iraqi market in 2024, and has since established what it describes as one of the largest automotive after-sales service centres in Iraq, combining vehicle maintenance, repair and spare parts support in a single platform.
