Iraq-South Korea Joint Committee Meeting

A preparatory meeting has been held for the Iraqi side of the tenth session of the Iraqi-South Korean Joint Committee.

The meeting was chaired by Shoorsh Khalid Saeed, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Legal and Multilateral Affairs, with participation from representatives of relevant ministries and sectoral bodies, the Iraqi Embassy in Seoul (via video link), and the head of the Iraqi-Korean Business Council.

Riyad Fakhir al-Hashimi, Director General of the Department of External Economic Relations at the Ministry of Trade, said discussions covered areas including economic and trade cooperation, cultural and scientific exchange, capacity-building programmes, and knowledge transfer.
