Iraq's Ministry of Planning has held talks with representatives of the Italian Embassy in Baghdad to discuss ongoing and planned development projects funded by Italy.
The meeting was chaired by Dr. Sahir Abd al-Kazim Mahdi, Director General of the Directorate of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Planning, and attended by Rosa Maria Genovesi, head of the International Cooperation Office at the Italian Embassy, and Monica Pizzo, development programme coordinator at the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation.
Discussions covered programmes and projects currently being funded and implemented by Italy in Iraq, as well as projects planned for future implementation by the Italian government, including the mechanisms and procedures for monitoring their delivery by the relevant Iraqi ministries.
