Registration is now open for the Iraqi Children Foundation's (ICF) annual "In Their Shoes" 5K, taking place on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Burke Lake Park in Fairfax, Virginia.

The annual event raises vital funds to provide education, healthcare, legal protection, nutrition, and other life-changing services to vulnerable children across Iraq, including orphans, child laborers, children living in poverty, and children with disabilities.
Participants are encouraged to register, form a team, or create a fundraising page to help expand the event's impact.
"Every registration helps provide opportunities that many children in Iraq would otherwise never have," said Patricia Stakem, Executive Director of the Iraqi Children Foundation. "Whether someone walks, runs, volunteers, or fundraises, they are helping children access education, healthcare, legal protection, and the support they need to build brighter futures."
