The Netherlands Embassy in Baghdad is to lead the first Dutch agri-food trade mission to federal Iraq in almost 15 years, visiting Baghdad and Kerbala from 28 to 30 October 2026.
The mission will connect Dutch companies and knowledge institutes with Iraqi businesses, government officials, and other key players to explore trade, investment, partnerships, and knowledge-sharing opportunities.
The visit is timed to coincide with the EU-funded Iraq National Trade Forum (INTF), giving Dutch delegates access to a broad mix of Iraqi and international companies and institutions. Areas of focus include agritech, horticulture, sustainable agriculture, food processing, and knowledge exchange.
The mission follows a recent change in Dutch travel advice for large parts of Iraq, from red to orange, making business travel to federal Iraq more feasible. The deadline to apply is 10 September.
