Iraq's Ministry of Trade has participated in a preparatory meeting hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to explore trade and investment cooperation with the European Union (EU).
The meeting, which included representatives from several Iraqi economic institutions and the EU mission, discussed proposals to develop trade and investment relations, support the private sector, improve access for Iraqi products to European markets, and attract foreign investment.
The Ministry of Trade was represented by Riyad Fakher al-Hashimi, Director General of the Department of External Economic Relations, and Malik Khalaf Wadi, Director General of the Department of Private Sector Development.
