Iraq's Ministry of Finance has held talks with a World Bank delegation on financial reform, automation projects, and the development of financial management tools.
The delegation was led by Dalia Khalifa, Regional Director for the Middle East, and Emmanuel Salinas, World Bank Country Director for Iraq. Finance Minister Faleh Sari said the ministry is advancing its automation projects and moving them to practical implementation, with the aim of improving work procedures, raising the efficiency of resource and data management, and strengthening oversight and transparency in financial institutions.
World Bank representatives said they noted growing interest from major international companies in the Iraqi market, and confirmed the Bank's commitment to continuing cooperation with the ministry on joint projects.
