Investment Licences for 60,000 Residential Plots in Karbala

Four investment licences have been signed with private developers to provide 60,000 residential plots in Karbala, as part of a government initiative to deliver one million serviced residential plots across Iraq's provinces.

According to the National Investment Commission (NIC), the licences were signed with Al-Amniyat for Investment and Real Estate Development, Al-Mawj, Majd Al-Ula, and Al-Miqdaam. The signing was announced by NIC chairman Adel Dakhil Muhammad al-Yasiri on Wednesday.

Karbala is designated as the first governorate to be served under the initiative, which is being implemented in coordination with the governor of Karbala and the provincial investment authority. The NIC said it will oversee the executive procedures and coordinate with relevant public and private-sector bodies to ensure the project is carried out.
