Iraqi Doctor Creates AI Healthcare Platform

By Padraig O'Hannelly.

A Canadian-based Iraqi doctor has launched an agentic learning management system for healthcare education.

Dr Fady Hannah-Shmouni (MD, FRCPC), an adjunct professor at the University of British Columbia, founded Perceptors AI together with Dr Omar Saleem and the GCLS AI Lab at the Geneva College of Longevity Science.

He told Iraq Business News that Perceptors AI converts an institution's approved clinical expertise into governed, certified programmes, with an evidence-grounded AI tutor supporting each learner and measurable learner outcomes. Universities and hospital groups can use it to launch their own agentic academies for physicians, scientists, dentists, nurses and pharmacists, with content localised by language and region.

The platform is already used by more than 30 academic centres worldwide.
