USAID/IRAQ Foras is an economic growth project with priorities in improving economic opportunities for Iraqis, with special emphasis on serving youth, women, and vulnerable populations. Foras project is designed to work on both the supply side of workforce development—strengthening vocational and skills training service providers, and through them, job seekers’ skills—and the demand-side—ensuring that employers at the national and local level are part of the solution for sustainable results. The project advances employment through improvements in workforce systems in Iraq’s private sector and Special Projects that promote youth entrepreneurship and improve vulnerable populations’ economic access.
