Iraq Ministry of Water Resources said that it has a plan to establish more than 30 dams in Iraq in order to irrigate agricultural land and to provide drinking water for the habitation regions and stressed that these projects will be implemented in the upcoming years because they cost a lot.
The plan will target five key areas: ensuring inclusive economic growth; environmental management; promoting good governance and protecting human rights; boosting access to basic services for all; and stepping up investment in women, youth and children.
