Fields in Iraq: Had a 23.44 percent share in the Zubair oil field, but relinquished it to the state-owned South Oil Company in October 2016.

Occidental and consortium members Eni and Korea Gas Corporation are redeveloping the Zubair Field in southern Iraq with state-owned South Oil Company and Missan Oil Company as state partner. Zubair is one of the largest discovered oilfields in the world.

In 2014, the consortium partners received approval from the Government of Iraq for the full field development to the contractually targeted production level of 850,000 barrels of oil per day.
