Iraq Ministry of Industry and Minerals said that it held a series of meetings with Cairo in order to discuss establishing a duty free zone between Iraq, Egypt and Jordan stressing that they didn’t reach a final agreement in this regard until now. On the other hand, some economic experts say that establishing such a duty free would boost Iraq economy while some others suggested establishing a duty free zone with European countries.
Fawzi Hariri Iraq Minister of Industry and Minerals said that lately memorandums of understanding (MoU) were signed with Egyptian companies in order to boost the role of the Egyptian private sector in reviving Iraqi economy.
