Iraqi Starts Export of Cooking Oil

The General Company for Food Products, part of Iraq's Ministry of Industry and Minerals, has begun exporting its products to neighbouring markets, starting with a shipment of cooking oil to Jordan.

The company confirmed that the first shipment of 'Al-Bint' branded cooking oil, produced at the Imam Ali Al-Hadi plant in Maysan province, has been exported to Jordan under a partnership contract with a Bulgarian company.

• First shipment volume of 100 tonnes
• Total contracted export volume of 1,000 tonnes
• Product manufactured at the Imam Ali Al-Hadi plant in Maysan

The remaining quantities will be exported in stages under the agreed plan.
