KRG Report on Road and Bridge Projects

The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has issued a report on road and bridge projects undertaken in the Region for the period July 2019 to May 2026.

Key achievements include:

  • Implementation of 810 vital road and bridge projects with a total cost exceeding 1 trillion Dinars.
  • ⁠Rehabilitation or construction of over 3,000 km of roads in accordance with international standards.
  • Ongoing construction of 227 strategic projects with a budget exceeding 4 trillion Dinars.
  • Road marking (lane striping) of nearly 3,000 km of roads.
  • Installation of over 19,000 traffic signs, 62 km of guardrails, and the construction of 59 pedestrian bridges.
