Financing Discussed for Iraq-South Korea Air Defence Deal

Iraq's Finance Minister and the South Korean Ambassador to Iraq have met to discuss the financing of an air defence system contract agreed between the two countries.

According to Iraq's Ministry of Finance, Faleh Sari met with Ambassador Lee Jae-myung on Wednesday. Also present were the Iraqi Army Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Abdul-Amir Rashid Yarallah, and the South Korean military attaché.

Discussions covered the financial procedures and requirements related to the deal, as well as financing mechanisms to ensure contractual obligations are met within the agreed legal and financial frameworks.

The South Korean side reaffirmed the importance of continued coordination to complete and implement the contract.
