Talks on cooperation in Iraq's transport sector have taken place between Transport Minister Wahab Salman Mohammed and a delegation from the Iraq Britain Business Council (IBBC), led by its president Baroness Emma Nicholson.
The meeting, held on Sunday, covered outcomes from the delegation's visit the previous week to the General Company for Maritime Transport and the General Company for Ports of Iraq (GCPI) in Basra, where discussions focused on opportunities for cooperation in the manufacture of marine vessels and the development of port dry docks.
The two sides also discussed human resources development within the Ministry of Transport through specialist training courses and knowledge exchange, as well as cooperation in aviation, air navigation, railways, maritime transport and ports.
Representatives of a number of IBBC member companies attended the meeting.
