The American University of Iraq - Baghdad (AUIB), in partnership with Raban Al-Safina Group, has announced the launch of Iraq's first fully integrated teaching hospital in five decades.
The $250-million investment agreement is supported by the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
The 200-bed facility will be built to international standards, featuring emergency and intensive care units, radiology, advanced laboratories, outpatient clinics, a specialised oncology centre, and residential housing for medical and nursing staff.
Located within AUIB's campus, it will serve as a hub for medical education, training, and scientific research, while also delivering advanced healthcare services to the public.
According to a press release from AUIB, the project is a cornerstone in modernising Iraq's health infrastructure and positioning the country as a regional destination for medical education and healthcare investment.
