The cabinet’s economic committee approved a project to build a road linking Samawa to the highway in 27 km across the al-Warkaa district, the governor of al-Muthanna province revealed on Saturday.
“The project approval was the outcome of efforts and discussions by the local administration in al-Muthanna,” Ibrahim Soliman al-Mayali told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“The projected road will meet the Samawa-Rumaitha highway near Al Jaroukhi bridge, northern Samawa,” he added.
