  • Faisal Al-Haimus, Chairman of the Iraqi Securities Commission (ISC), stated that the Commission has achieved a qualitative leap and tangible accomplishments in the ISX during the years 2024-2025. This is within the framework of the directives and continuous support of the government of PM Al-Sudani, which reflects the government's firm commitment to stimulating the investment environment and consolidating the foundations of financial stability in the country. Al-Haimus explained that these achievements, which encompass legislative, technical, and regulatory aspects, aim to develop the financial market's infrastructure, and achieve alignment with international standards.   • A cross transaction occurred on 59.4 bn shares of Kurdistan International Islamic Bank (BKUI) on Aug. 21, valued at IQD59.4 bn and corresponding to 14.9% of BKUI's capital. The buyers were Omar Sabah Bashir and Fakher Ali Mustafa, and the seller was Salar Mustafa Hakim.
  • A cross transaction occurred on 5.7 bn shares of Iraq Noor Islamic Bank (BINI) on Aug. 18, valued at IQD1.1 bn and corresponding to 2.3% of BINI's capital.
  • ISX announced that on Aug. 19, 2025, the deposit operations for the third issuance of national bonds began in the deposit center. The bonds will be launched for trading starting Sep. 8, 2025, on the bond platform. The price change will be 5% according to the table received from the CBI. The bonds will be traded from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
  • National Company for Tourism Investment (HNTI) invited its shareholders to receive their cash dividends for the fiscal year 2023. The company decided in its recent AGM (Jul. 27, 2025) to distribute IQD0.20 cash dividend per share, corresponding to a 1.8% dividend yield.
  • Subscription to 12.54% rights issue of National Islamic Bank (BNAI) to reach IQD400 bn capital ended on Aug. 17.
  • Ameen Al-Iraq Islamic Bank (BAME) invited its shareholders to subscribe to 150.0 bn shares starting Aug. 18 from the capital increase to IQD400.0 bn through a 60.0% rights issue. The subscription period is no less than 30 days and no more than 60 days.

  • PM Mohammed S. Al-Sudani received on Wednesday the Chairman of the Iraq Securities Commission (ISC), Mr. Faisal Al-Haimus. During the meeting, a detailed briefing was provided on the Commission's work, the development of trading activity in the ISX, and the steps taken to enhance transparency and attract investment. (ISC)
  • Al-Mansour Hotels (HMAN) invited its shareholders to receive their cash dividends for the fiscal year 2023. The company decided in its recent AGM (May 7, 2025) to distribute IQD0.17 cash dividend per share, corresponding to a 0.4% dividend yield.
  • The AGM of Babylon Hotel (HBAY) has been postponed to Aug. 14 due to a lack of quorum.
  • Al-Mal Islamic Bank (BMAL) will hold its AGM on Sep. 2 to discuss and approve 2024 annual financial statements, electing seven original and seven alternative board members, and the merging of BMAL with Trust International Islamic Bank (BTRU). The company had already been suspended from trading by the ISC starting Mar. 17, 2025.
  • The ISC approved the request of United Bank (BUND) for an additional extension period of 90 days starting from Aug. 1, 2025, to submit their 2024 annual financial statements along with a payment of a fine of IQD500,000.

  • The CBI confirms that the circulating news about the suspension of dollar transactions at the Bank of Baghdad (BBOB) or the suspension of its foreign exchange reserves for external remittances is false. The bank is operating normally and smoothly, in accordance with the instructions and regulations adopted by the CBI. BBOB is considered one of the sound banks with solvency and soundness, which has made it an important part of the banking sector. (CBI)
  • Bank of Baghdad (BBOB) announced, on Monday, an official statement denying recent rumors circulating online about the suspension of U.S. dollar transfers by the CBI or alleged violations related to foreign transactions. The bank affirms that all its operations, including foreign transfers, comply fully with CBI's regulations and international compliance standards, particularly in anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing.
  • ISX announced that on Aug. 6, 2025, the deposit operations for the first and second issuance of national bonds began in the deposit center. The bonds will be launched for trading starting Aug. 27, 2025, on the bond platform. The price change will be 5% according to the table received from the CBI. The bonds will trade from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
  • Ameen Al-Iraq Islamic Bank (BAME) invited its shareholders to subscribe to 150.0 bn shares starting Aug. 18 from the capital increase to IQD400.0 bn through a 60.0% rights issue. The subscription period is no less than 30 days and no more than 60 days.
  • The procedures for quoting Shatt Al-Arab Insurance Company (NSHA) on the OTC platform with its capital of IQD20.0 bn have been completed based on the instructions of the Securities Commission. The process of creating share certificates for the company's shareholders began on Aug. 7. Trading will be launched after depositing 5% of the capital, or after 21 days from the deposit start date.
  • ISX requested Union Bank (BUOI) to explain why the prices touched the lower limit on Aug. 6 and Aug. 7.

  • Subscription to 16.67% rights issue of Gulf Commercial Bank (BGUC) to reach IQD350.0 bn from IQD300.0 bn paid-in capital has ended on Jul. 23. It was announced that there was no subscription for the 50.0 bn shares.
  • The ISC has approved the request of National Islamic Bank (BNAI) to have a four-month extension period to add the new shares from the capital increase through a 12.54% rights issue and a 1.42% bonus issue to IQD400.0 bn starting from Jul. 27, 2025.   • In a new international recognition that reflects his outstanding efforts in developing the securities sector, Faisal Al-Haimus, Chairman of the Iraqi Securities Commission (ISC), was awarded in "Leadership and excellence in consolidating investor protection and enhancing financial market transparency in Iraq by 2025" by the World Union of Arab Bankers. The award recognizes his leadership efforts in enhancing the investment environment, supporting the principles of disclosure and governance, and fostering a culture of transparency in the Iraqi financial market.   • Asiacell (TASC) invited its shareholders to receive their cash dividends for the fiscal year 2024, starting Jun. 25. The company decided in its recent AGM (May 24, 2025) to distribute IQD1.5 cash dividend per share, corresponding to an 11.5% dividend yield. The branches of the National Bank of Iraq (BNOI) mentioned in the announcement will be ready to distribute dividends during official working hours.
  • Bank of Baghdad (BBOB) invited its shareholders to receive their cash dividends for the fiscal year 2024, starting Jun. 25 at the company's HQ and its branches throughout Iraq from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
