KRG Renews Ties with Lower Saxony

During his visit to the Göttingen Georg-August-University upon the invitation of the Vice President of the University, Prof. Dr. Reiner Finkeldey, Minister Mustafa held a seminar on the current political situation in the Middle East from a Kurdish point of view.

He also talked about the Syrian refugee crisis that has taken a toll on the KRG since the outbreak of the conflict in Syria. The lecture was followed by a Q&A session in which students and other attendees showed great interest in Kurdistan.

The aim of Minister Mustafa’s visit to Lower Saxony was to benefit from the advanced technologies and rich experience of Lower Saxony in the fields of Science, technology, industry, agriculture and tourism and to facilitate cultural and educational exchange program.

With this visit, the shared values were brought closer and emphasized the need for cooperation between Kurdistan and Lower Saxony. Both sides agreed that a strong basis for a strategic partnership between the two governments is essential.

The accompanying delegation included Dr. Saman Sorani, Adviser, and Tawfiq Rahman, Senior Director.
