Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe (pictured) is expected to announce the provision of about $810 million in aid in response to refugees fleeing Syria and Iraq, public broadcaster NHK reported on Monday.
According to the report from Reuters, Japan maintains very strict conditions for accepting refugees, prompting fourteen non-government organizations, including Amnesty International, to urge Abe to accept more Syrian refugees into Japan.
