State Company for Automotive and Equipment Industry, one of the companies of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, has signed a partnership contract with Iraqi and Emirati firms to establish an integrated industrial system for the assembly, production and marketing of various types of vehicles.
The agreement covers the production of:
- Buses
- Light commercial vehicles
- Passenger cars
- Trucks
- Specialised equipment
The partnership also covers technical cooperation with specialised international automotive companies.
According to Director General Eng. Dana Saadallah Saeed, the contract forms part of a national strategy to localise industry and reduce reliance on imports, in line with government and ministerial directives.
