Egypt's Orascom Wants to Invest in Karbala

The Egyptian firm, Orascom, is ready to invest in the housing sector in Karbala, the company’s representative said on Wednesday. “Our company can construct more than 10 housing units in Karbala,” the representative told Aswat al-Iraq news agency. Investors Can Help Rebuild Iraq

The Iraqi National Investment Commission has said some of the projects — worth nearly $70 billion (Dh257.4 billion) — are expected to be finalised in the near future. The news comes after Emirates announced it will begin flights to Baghdad in July. Etihad Airways has been flying to the Iraqi capital since April.

Lebanese, Turkish Discuss Housing in Basra

Iran to Build Housing Compounds Throughout Iraq

Iraq and Iran signed on Tuesday an agreement through which Iran will build housing compounds in Baghdad and number of Iraqi provinces. “The agreement was signed by the undersecretary of IraqiElectricity Ministry and Iranian embassy in Iraq,” said a release issued on Tuesday by the Iraqi Trade Ministry and received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
