Iraq-Tunisia Trade Talks at Arab League Economic Council

Trade relations between Iraq and Tunisia were discussed on the sidelines of the 118th ordinary session of the Economic and Social Council of the Arab League, with both sides exploring ways to increase bilateral trade and expand Iraqi exports to the Tunisian market.

According to the Iraqi Ministry of Trade, Minister Mustafa Nizar Jumaa met with Tunisia's Minister of Trade and Export Development, Samir Obeid, to discuss measures including greater access for Iraqi goods and raw materials to the Tunisian market, with Iraqi sulphur highlighted as a priority commodity.

The two sides also discussed Tunisia's potential participation in the next session of the Baghdad International Fair, with a view to strengthening the presence of Tunisian companies and products in the Iraqi market and supporting commercial and investment cooperation between the two countries.
